Mød vores internationale anerkendte, svenske filmskaber og VAF kunstner Niki Lindroth von Bahr til en samtale med filmskaberen Philip Piaget. Lige efter visningen af Niki’s kortfilms program i Fotorama (d. 27/9) vil publikum have muligheden for, at møde kunstneren og høre om hendes karriere i stop-motion animation.
Interviewet vil blive afholdt hos det hyggelige lokale bryggeri ‘Ølluminati’, hvor VAF vil lancere og offentliggøre en række af VAF øl, som er inspireret af mørk, eksistentiel, dog et humoristisk univers af Niki’s film, skabt i samarbejde med Ølluminati’s ølmester Theis.

Niki Lindroth von Bahr
Niki Lindroth von Bahr er en kunstner og filmskaber, hvor hendes hovedfokus er stop motion animation. I løbet af de sidste 10 år, har Niki lavet fire film: Tord and Tord, Bath House, The Burden and Something to Remember. Hendes seneste projekt var en del af den animerede antologi ’The House’ for Netflix, som kom ud i 2022. Niki’s film er blevet vist og prisgivet på festivaler hele verden rundt, heriblandt; Cannes, Berlinale, Toronto and Sundance. ’The Burden’ som udkom i 2017, har modtaget 82 priser, herunder en Le Cristal for bedste kortfilm i Annecy, Bedste Internationale kortfilm i Toronto, og Guldbaggen for bedste kortfilm i 2018.

Philip Piaget
Philip Piaget
Filmmaker, animator and visual artist
Philip Piaget is a filmmaker, animator and visual artist from Mexico City. He graduated in 2018 from The Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark with a Bachelor of Arts in Character Animation. He has previously studied Classical Animation at the Vancouver Film School (2010-2011) as well as worked on numerous studios like Global Mechanic, Might and Delight, Atomic Cartoons, amongst others, as an animator, designer and filmmaker. Philip has directed and developed the award-winning CG/mixed media film Reverie. He is currently focused on creating original projects and servicing commissions at the animation production company he has co-founded, Ouros Animation (ouros.net)
