Become a volunteer at VAF25!

Would you like to volunteer at the Viborg Animation Festival 2025? Every year we look for extra hands to help out during the festival.

Together with an engaged team and a creative community, you will help create a great atmosphere and execute the events that make up this year’s festival. We provide t-shirts, lunch, and good colleagues; you just need to bring smiles, team spirit, and enthusiasm.

What does a VAF Volunteer do?

As a volunteer, you can get involved in various tasks, but here are some of the most common ones:

  • Stand at the welcome booth
  • Present films
  • Decoration and cleanup
  • Guide VR experiences
  • Put up posters and distributing catalogs, postcards, etc.
  • Help with Viborg Game Expo

Please don’t hesitate signning up, we are in search of all people of all ages!

Volunteer tasks primarily take place during the festival week (week 37) from September 9th to 15th.

Some volunteer tasks will take place the week before the festival.

Note: As a volunteer, you can choose which days you want to participate.

The entire festival, as well as all volunteer shifts, will take place in the city of Viborg. The primary location for volunteer shifts will be at Tinghallen (Tingvej 20, 8800 Viborg), the main area of the festival.

As a volunteer, you will be provided with food during the festival. If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact the volunteer coordinator: vgni@via.dk

You can definitely volunteer without speaking Danish.

If you become ill during the festival and are unable to attend your shift, you must contact your team leader. Together, you will find a solution.
