In This Corner of the World

In This Corner of the World is also about a young lady. Suzu lives with her newly wedded husband’s family in the outskirts of Kure City during the Second World War. In This Corner of the World started as a manga in 2007 by artist Fumiyo Kouno, who won numerous awards. Later it became a TV-drama and finally the story was made into an anime movie by Sunao Katabuchi, premiering in Japan in 2016, where it got very good reviews and did well at the box office.
