Director's Workshop 2019
Creating films in 48 hours
For the second year the Viborg Animation Festival will be visited by 11 young international and local film directors with just one purpose: To make short films in less than 48 hours.
The next two days the directors will work in a workshop where they play with the art of filmmaking, inspire on another, enjoy a good time and connect with networks across borders and culture. The workshop and the short film will be framed by a theme, which is announced to the directors Thursday afternoon. The directors have an imminent deadline for their short film for Saturday afternoon at 1.00 pm.
The directors each make their short film, which is just one chapter of the collective piece that will constitute this year’s Director’s Workshop Film.
The film from the Director’s Workshop will be featured in Fotorama, Saturday at 5.30 pm, where the same directors compete against each other at the VAF Student Film Competition.
You also have the opportunity to meet the directors on Saturday afternoon at 3.00 pm – 4.30 pm at the Meet the Directors event located at Café Kimchi, Ammunitionsvej 1 in Viborg.
